Ingredients:

  • 500g flour (spelt, rye, etc.)

  • 1 packet of baker's yeast 

  • 400ml of water

  • pinch of salt

Optional:

  • Nuts and seeds: walnuts, almonds, sesame and sunflower seeds

  • Dried fruit: raisins, dried figs

To prepare:

  1. Mix the yeast, the salt, the flour and the water and let sit for 2 hours

  2. Preheat the oven at 200ºC

  3. Mix the walnuts or almonds and the dried fruit into the dough

  4. Place the dough in a bread tin and add sunflower and sesame seeds over it

  5. Cook in the oven at 200ºC for 20 minutes

  6. Lower the heat to 180ºC and cook for 30min

It is also possible to add 1 tsp of maple syrup to the dough alongside the nuts if you don't have dried fruit and enjoy a bit of sweetness in your bread
